Should You Drink Coffee Daily?
Experts now agree that coffee is good for us, as long as it is moderately drunk. Four espresso a day is fine, apparently. Well for Italians who thrive on things!
Coffee appears to protect the liver from cirrhosis as well as improve blood circulation. It can also help us protect us from certain cancers, especially prostate, pancreatic and bladder cancer, to name a few.
It also protects our teeth from decay and a great source of antioxidants that protect us from free radicals in our bodies that can cause cancer. Of course, we also get antioxidants from fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other foods, but coffee contains 600 times more antioxidants than fruit.
Antioxidants can delay the aging process, giving our skin a youthful elasticity. It can help fight wrinkles and feet that form around the eyes as we age.
Science has found that if you drink between 3 and 5 cups of coffee a day, it can protect you from dementia and Parkinson’s disease, and that all of that, can also help you live longer.
Coffee can combat depression and thus can reduce the risk of suicide. Of course, it is better to drink black coffee without sugar. Sugar is definitely not good for us. If we can get rid of that, we’ll be healthier.
Coffee has a role to play in the Mediterranean diet, where people living in the Mediterranean tend to drink plenty of coffee. They don’t usually have milk in coffee, think of Greek coffee, for example. Recent research has shown that dairy products are bad for us. Milk deprives our bones of calcium, and cheese and milk have been linked to the risk of prostate cancer. Advertisers have done a great job of convincing us that milk is good for us. not like that! Also, children of both sexes can develop acne from the consumption of dairy products.
Of course, everyone reacts differently to coffee. Some people experience panic attacks, anxiety, insomnia, restless sleep and headaches due to caffeine intake.
This drink certainly improves mental alertness, which is why many people drink a cup of coffee after waking up in the morning. The smell of just fresh coffee usually makes us feel better and wake up.
So let’s keep drinking coffee, knowing that this is good for us, as long as we don’t put sugar and milk in it.
